About Jessica

Jessica has a wide variety of professional experience:

• Graduated with a Master of Laws/Legal Studies degree from the University of Denver (2019)
• Earned six Best Newscast regional Emmy awards (2000-2015)
• Obtained Project Management Institute (PMP) certification
• Instructed college students at the University of Denver as Adjunct Faculty, teaching courses in Media Law (First Amendment) and Advanced Reporting
• Worked as a Licensed Private Investigator (LPI)
• Obtained certification in the Forensic Testimonial Evidence Recovery Method (2017)
• Served as the Chief Communications Officer at the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology, and the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (2011-2014)
• ​Received the Denver Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award (Class of 2013)
• Attended The Poynter Institute's inagural Leadership Academy (2005)

Much of Jessica's expertise comes from her tenure in television journalism, where she most recently freelanced for NBC News at the network level, and previously worked in local affiliate newsrooms across the country, which include KRON, KUSA, KHQ, KOB, KCNC, KDVR, and KOAA. She served in as a Reporter in the field; a Line Producer in the control room; an Executive Producer overseeing the content and staff of an entire daypart; and, as a News Director in charge of the entire newsroom's editorial department. 

Jessica's network experience includes serving as a Field and Booking Producer on breaking news assignments,  and on Dateline NBC.
